Educational Technology and Copyright Law

In today's educational technology, the matter of copyright seems to be a problem in most  school projects. Before you worry about copyright, you need to know what copyright actually is. This is something that protects from people rewriting exactly what you said so they can not claim it as their's. Everything is always automatically copyrighted and there is no paperwork involved, copyright is usually known as the symbol of a c in a circle. When you create something, such as draw, write, etc., it is always copyrighted to make sure no one can take your ideas and get all the credit. When copyrighting something, you get four exclusive rights:

1. You can reproduce the work
2. You can display it publicly
3. ?You may prepare derivative works based on your work
4. You can distribute copies of the work to the world
