The largest moon in the Solar System and one of Jupiter's satellites, Ganymede. Life could have arisen on Ganymede. Steve Vance of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said, "This is good news for Ganymede. Its ocean is huge, with enormous pressures, so it was thought that dense ice had to form at the bottom of the ocean. When we added salts to our models, we came up with liquids dense enough to sink to the sea floor." This has been the base for discovering a lot of other different oceans found in other planets' moons whether they're big or small.

Spring Break!

    &n
bsp;     I really enjoyed my spring break. I had lots of fun with my friends both over the internet and when we just hung out normally. My friends and I hung out at each others' houses and even got pizza! I was out with my friends the other night at the basketball court and we had pizza after at night. I didn't just hang out with my friends though, can't forget about my family. I spent a lot of time with family even more and my mom bought two new cats. I especially loved Easter!
I also loved getting out and being able to have friends over outside and inside. My idea of fun is being with friends and getting outside to do some sport fun. I loved playing soccer with my friends and football with my dad. I like to play sports with my friends and my family a lot. I get better at it but I don't care if I'm bad at it. I like to have fun and it doesn't matter if I play competitively, I honestly don't care for that. I went to the Candlewyck Diner as well which has very good food. I was watching lots of movies and funny videos. I was going to see a movie with friends, "Captain America", but the planning got too messed up. That's all I have to say about my spring break.

A new dwarf planet discovered? Astronomers have discovered a new dwarf planet so far from Pluto that it's on a new edge of the Solar System! It's known as 2012 VP113 and is in a wasteland of the Solar System. This planet's orbit reaches to a new edge of the Solar System. This planet is known to be odd because of its orbit. The closest it ever gets to the Sun is still extremely far away. It's distance from the Sun is eighty-three times the amount we are from the Sun. The reason it's a dwarf planet is because of how it has no gravitational dominance.

Do Now 3/24

I have watched a funny video on YouTube recently. It was very comical and made me laugh a lot and entertained me a lot. It was about someone falling off of a cliff and they broke their legs. When they broke he started screaming in a very funny matter. He then ate a piece of food and grew back his legs which made it even more comical. He started walking away and it popped up, "LOGIC," and then it ended. The ending was by far the funniest and most entertaining part.

Do Now 3/19

A presentation is a project that must be neat and organized. What makes a presentation good is having everything neat, in order, and organized. It should be impressive to whoever you're presenting to. A presentation can also be in many different ways such as a writing prompt, project for school, or just a simple essay.

Do Now 3/17

Today I woke up without seeing my body parts, but I could feel them. I thought I might have been invisible so I looked in the mirror, nothing. I pinched myself to check if I was dreaming or not. I was awake and being invisible was no dream. I was scared at first wondering if it would ever go away but I also thought how being invisible can be helpful to other people. I packed up and left for school.
When I walked in no one noticed me, there was someone bullying a little kid for their money. I went up from behind and took the money back and gave it to the little kid. They were both scared of floating money I guess so they ran off screaming. After school I was walking home and there was some crime, nothing major though. The worst thing was someone getting mugged which was the only felony. I was tired after all the helping I did so I went to sleep. The second I closed my eyes, I woke up from what I thought was real life but only a dream.

boeing new smartphone
Boeing is now debuting a new phone made for government agencies and defense contractors that can self-destruct when tampered with. It won't be very dramatic however. There won't be explosions or smoke, but everything in the phone will be completely erased. An example would be to break open the case which triggers a function that deletes all the storage on the phone. It will be called the Boeing Black. This will be Boeing's first foray into cell phones. Not much is currently known about the phone, but rumors have it that it will be released in the summer. In my opinion, it sounds cool but wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. The only bad part about this would be the immediate deletion of storage for tampering with it.

Educational Technology and Copyright Law

In today's educational technology, the matter of copyright seems to be a problem in most  school projects. Before you worry about copyright, you need to know what copyright actually is. This is something that protects from people rewriting exactly what you said so they can not claim it as their's. Everything is always automatically copyrighted and there is no paperwork involved, copyright is usually known as the symbol of a c in a circle. When you create something, such as draw, write, etc., it is always copyrighted to make sure no one can take your ideas and get all the credit. When copyrighting something, you get four exclusive rights:

1. You can reproduce the work
2. You can display it publicly
3. ?You may prepare derivative works based on your work
4. You can distribute copies of the work to the world

Olympic Sports: Luge

The sport, luge, requires an athlete that must balance both mental and physical fitness. To become an elite luger is very difficult and takes many years of discipline and training. I'd begin training at an early age and work out to be in perfect shape for it. I'll also have to be able to endure serious physical pain being my only protection is a helmet and visor and it is likely I will crash. Becoming an elite luger is difficult, as well as being part of an olympic team.
Luge: Olympics

There are four main luge disciplines. These are men's singles, doubles, women's single, and team relay. These are broken down to several age classifications, novice (7-10), youth (11-14), junior (15-20), and general (21 and older). Prior to the certain race the athlete must be weighed. By doing so the athlete will be determined if they're in order to carry extra weight on them for the actual luge race.
Just like any other professional sport, there are risks of competing in the sport. Many of the injuries are bumps, bruises, broken bones, and concussions. That doesn't mean this sport can not cause something fatal. Georgian luger, Nodar Kumaritashvili, suffered a fatal crash while under his final practice run for the 2010 Winter Olympics. He wasn't the only one that had suffered a fatal crash luging, as well as Kazimierz Kay-Skrzypeski. This sport may seem like fun and games but can still be fatal and is more serious than it asctually seems.

Technology news 2/7

A lot of smartphones out there have amazing primary cameras, but the front-facing cameras that some of us use to take pictures of ourselves are inferior.

Welcome

Hi, my name's Reece and I have two sisters, three cats, and a mom and a dad. We all like love to spend time together and watch movies in the living room. I enjoy hanging out with friends and talking and playing video games online. I don't like being alone. I don't let people push me around even though most people say just ignore and walk away, but you can't ignore a fight or a punch to the face. I enjoy being social and around my friends and I'm lucky to have them.
